“We want to give them tools through the physical discipline of yoga,” Fitton said. “It strips away their bravado and tough exterior — it gives them an authentic connection to themselves. They are able to access creativity and real feelings and are able to relate to their peers and us.”

My days have been really busy lately so, I have not been too present here on the blog. Not to worry though, I have not lost my enthusiasm for this cyber-yoga-space. I will get back to the practice of posting more frequently soon. Maybe even tonight!
In the meantime, in case you are looking for the Dew Yoga holiday schedule.. look here.
Happy Wednesday!

Remember that even beyond those clouds above us today, there is still a bright sun shining. Mary Oliver is a master of bringing us to places we are not today….
Why I Wake Early
Hello, sun in my face.
Hello, you who made the morning
and spread it over the fields
and into the faces of the tulips
and the nodding morning glories,
and into the windows of, even, the
miserable and the crotchety –
best preacher that ever was,
dear star, that just happens
to be where you are in the universe
to keep us from ever-darkness,
to ease us with warm touching,
to hold us in the great hands of light –
good morning, good morning, good morning.
Watch, now, how I start the day
in happiness, in kindness.
~ Mary Oliver
p.s. Even though I must admit I do not start every day this way, it is a good reminder that some days can begin with happiness and kindness.
