This is an old favorite of mine written by a Canadian poet named Oriah Mountain Dreamer. Maybe you will also be inspired by her words.
The Invitation
It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dreams
for the adventure of being alive. Continue reading “Inspiration from Oriah Mountain Dreamer”
Stumbled on a PC World article today about “power vampires”. PC World was not discussing the types of people that energetically suck the life out of us. This is quite literal, it is about electricity use.
“Here’s an offer too good to refuse: Score an extra couple hundred bucks, help save the environment and barely lift a finger in the process. Interested?
The secret lies in an often overlooked but easily corrected problem. Put simply, you’re paying electric bills for stuff you aren’t using. As long as they’re plugged in, your computers, peripherals and home electronics are eating up energy when you think they’re off — and in no small amount, either. ” Continue reading “Earth Friendly = Wallet Friendly Energy Consumption”
Meet Kathy!

Kathy has been regular sunshine in morning classes for many years, practicing with Elysa, forging a lasting teacher student friendship as well as being a source of inspiration and joy to her fellow students. Plus, she makes the best fudge that ever melted in my mouth! Thank you Kathy, for lighting up every class you attend. Enjoy her insights on Yoga.
Q: How long have you been practicing Yoga?
A: I have been practicing yoga for 10 years. I started with Roberta Dale at Yoga Source in Darien. I was “hooked” after my first class. I feel very privileged to have begun my yoga practice in that environment. I was introduced to an amazing community of teachers and students that I continued to practice with, and learn from, after Roberta’s passing. Many of those people are still in my life today. Yoga Source was the birth place of a wonderful family.

On the non-material plane, what would you like to receive in the remainder of the year that you would also like to share with others?
Peace? Compassion? Humor? Security? Wellness?
Are you willing to ‘work’ toward accomplishing that?
“One must not always think so much about what one should do, but rather what one should be. Our works do not ennoble us; but we must ennoble our works.”
~Meister Eckhart
Are you willing to ‘be’ that which you desire to give and receive?

‘Tis the Season of Good Will …

So, we want to make it easier to keep treating yourself to Yoga during this busy and sometimes stressful season.
