This weekend I will be attending an intensive with Kofi Busia, student of BKS Iyengar for more than 30 years. Kofi is also a professor at Oxford University and I guess the slightly geeky side of me is intrigued by the professor for his master knowledge of Sanskrit studies as well as the alignment aspect of Iyengar style Yoga.
Coming from my Kripalu training, I am a bit nervous to be immersed in a style know for it’s rigidity but am more excited to be a student for the weekend and learn new things.
Yogaworks is hosting the workshop that will use trees as a metaphor our own beings.
Trees! That is right up my tree! Can’t wait to come back and share with you! I will try to post an update or two over the weekend and let you know how it goes.
Be well, keep your heart lights shining bright in honor of Melanie and her loved ones.
