Outdoor Yoga Tour Next Stop – Mianus River Park

August 7th, 2009

Update Sunday, 2:25pm There is only 5% chance of rain from now until 7pm. Mianus River Park Yoga is ON! See you there, meet at the red barn parking lot no later than 4pm. See below for directions if you need them.

Update Sunday 11:35am Weather is iffy, please check back here at 3pm for another update. If it’s too wet or raining, we will practice at Dew Yoga. If the sun breaks through we will meet at Mianus as planned. If you don’t have access to the web at that time, feel free to call me, 524-2919.

Assuming the weather is cooperative and you enjoy the trees and the sound of the river washing over stones, you are in for a treat.

As always, class is open to anyone and everyone, operates on Karma (no fee), donations accepted but not required.

Next stop on the ‘Outdoor Yoga Tour‘ is this Sunday, meet at 4pm at Mianus River Park at Merriebrook Lane. Click for a Google Map or see the map below.

Merriebrook Lane is off Westover Rd, follow it all the way to the big red barn and we will gather in the parking lot there.

We will begin our Yoga practice when we step foot on the trail, breathing and silent walking meditation for a ten minute, easy trail walk along the river followed by practice and finishing with a silent forest meditation.

Please bring:

Insect repellent if you are very attractive to mosquitoes, although i was there today at 5pm and did not notice many.
A mat AND a blanket or towel you don’t mind getting dirty.
Shoes, I was fine in flip-flops but if you feel more comfortable wear sneakers.
An open mind, the park is open to all and we share their space as much as they share ours.

Please call me if you have any questions. Look forward to seeing you there!
