Rumi Inspirations

March 26th, 2010

Thank you Yogini Wendy for this bit of Rumi that inspired my classes this week.
Enjoy. Now.

“This is now. Now is. Don’t
postpone till then. Spend

the spark of iron on stone.
Sit at the head of the table;

dip your spoon in the bowl.
Seat yourself next to your joy

and have your awakened soul
pour wine.”

By Jalal al-Din Rumi; translation by Coleman Barks

    Thank you for a wonderful class on Saturday morning. I found the Rumi Reading very inspiring. I am so excited to have found it on your blog, to be able to have a copy of the joyful words you shared with us. Thank you much!

    What a surprise to find this on your fantastic website. Honored to even be considered an inspiration (obviously real credit goes to Rumi). Your classes have been the highlight of my day…how do you know exactly what I need/want/desire?
    With love, Wendy
