Yoga for Cancer, An Immersion Training
September 11-12, 2010

First Yoga for Cancer Teacher’s Immersion presented by
Antonio Sausys, CMT and Rita Trieger, RYT

rita triegerAntonio and Rita are both gifted yoga teachers who have been working with cancer patients and survivors for many years. Their combined knowledge and enthusiasm have resulted in the creation of a comprehensive two-day immersion designed to help yoga teachers as well as health and wellness professionals understand how a healing yoga practice can become a powerful tool for those who are suffering from this disease.

This exceptional, educational workshop will provide an overview of anatomy, psychology, and succinct Yoga philosophy. Participants will also learn some simple techniques and their adaptations to help cancer patients with some of the common symptoms associated with their illness as well as the secondary effects of treatment. The training is also designed to help prepare yoga teachers and health professionals for the upcoming Therapeutic Teacher Training launching in the Spring of 2011.
