Ann received her 500-hr certification from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. She has also studied extensively with extraordinary teachers coast to coast.
This workshop is for experienced students. Please call Elysa, Jen or Ann if you have any questions about participation. Cost: $105.00/person. Pre-registration for all 3 classes is required. Sorry, no make-ups will be offered for this very special series. Contact us to reserve your space. Minimum 6 students required. Please bring your own Neti pot to the third class, ask us if you have any question, they are available at Mrs. Greens or CVS for less than $20 and should last a lifetime.

Fellow Kripalu Yoga teacher, Ronnie Oster-Falkenburg will be a presenter at Kripalu this summer in the Anita McFarlane program, Kid’s Summer Fun, July 20 - 25th! Yay Ronnie!
Ronnie has been a volunteer assistant in Kid’s programs at Kripalu for quite some time. It seems to be the perfect fit for her. In her own words,
“We will do yoga, art, theatre games, swimming, dress up and have lots of fun-
maybe some guided fantasy with art combos (I like to do those - yoga
nidras for kids with art following).”
Ronnie also shared with me that she has been hired by the Friendship Circle to teach yoga to
children who have challenges and their average buddies for next year.
How exciting - way to go, Ronnie!

I am a ‘little bit’ of an anatomy freak as I am always curious and wanting to learn more about the inner workings of the body. I say a l’ittle bit’ because while I dragged my boyfriend to the IMAX movie, The Human Body I wasn’t quite sure I could stomach the Bodies Exhibit when it was in New York.
Don’t you ever wonder which muscles lift the rib cage when we breathe? Continue reading “Anatomy Freaks will Love Bandhayoga.com”

Safety: noun
The condition of being safe from undergoing or causing hurt, injury, pain or loss
Yesterday, after taking a class at a studio I had never been to, I talked to the teacher and told her how much I enjoyed her class. As we talked, I mentioned I was a teacher and that’s when it happened. You may be asking “what’ it is?” Continue reading “Elysa Answers “What is Safety?””

Melanie Weeks has joined the blog. I was in touch with Melanie by e-mail and I told her, ‘I have heard so much about you from so many different people in the Yoga community that even though we have never met, I feel I already know you.’
For good reason, if you ask someone about ‘Mel’, you quickly understand she must be a busy lady with lot’s of energy and passion for healing practices. She has touched many (figuratively and literally) in many different ways. Continue reading “Welcome Melanie Weeks to the Site!”
